Please Note That the National Capital Region Is Governed by a Special Flight Rules Area (SFRA) Within A 30-mile Radius of Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport, Which Restricts All Flights In The Greater DC Area and May Affect the Planning and Scheduling of Your UAS Drone Project.
UAS Flights Within a 15-mile Radius of Reagan Airport Require a Special Waiver Which Can Take Up To 20 Days For Processing.
Other Flight Restrictions Apply Outside the 15 Mile Radius of Reagean That May Require FAA Authorization Which Can Take 1-3 Days for Processing. These Restrictions Apply Depending on Proximity to Local Airport Airspace Such As That Surrounding Dulles, Leesburg, and Manassas Airports.
